Frequently Asked Questions
How do I import music into Djent?
Djent plays local audio files stored on your device. Tap the + button in the top right corner of the Library tab to open the iOS Files picker. You can select individual songs or entire folders of music. Djent will securely copy them into its own library and scan the metadata. You can also open the iOS files app, go to On My iPhone and find the Djent folder. Music added here will auto import if you toggle the auto import to on in the settings.
What audio formats are supported?
Djent features native playback for lossless and high-fidelity formats, including FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, and CAF, alongside standard formats like MP3, M4A, and AAC.
Why aren't my tracks scrobbling to Last.fm?
First, ensure you have authenticated your account in the Settings tab. For a track to successfully scrobble, you must listen to at least 50% of the song, or 4 minutes of the song (whichever comes first), without skipping.
How do I fix missing album artwork or incorrect song names?
Djent includes a powerful metadata editor.
-
Single Track: Tap the
...menu next to any song and select Edit Metadata.
-
Entire Album: Tap the
...menu in the top right corner of an album page and select Edit Album Info.
From there, you can manually upload photos, search the web, or tap Fetch Info to let Djent automatically pull the correct data from the iTunes database.
Does Djent use cellular data to play music?
No. All music playback is strictly offline. Djent only uses an internet connection if you are fetching new metadata, searching for similar artists, streaming a 30-second discovery preview, or scrobbling to Last.fm.
